Momma Don Don’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Dennis Gubbins swears Momma Donna's take on the classic Nestle Tollhouse cookie was the best there's ever been. Made with lots of love and undercooked just a bit!


Momma Don Don’s Chocolate Chip Cookies


Why it's on our list


On Season 3, Episode 11, Dennis and Moira Gubbins state that Momma Donna's made some of the best chocolate chip cookies they've ever had. Being that she was an event planner, Momma Donna always had at home an endless supply of her cookies stored in an old industrial sized Best Foods mayo jar. Dennis says that the reason they were the best was because they were made with Momma's love and that she might have undercooked them a little bit.


Ingredients


  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour + 1/4 cup

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • Two large bags of Tollhouse Milk Chocolate chips. (None of that semi-sweet nonsense! Although those are good too.) 


Directions


Read and follow the RECIPE on the bag of Nestle Tollhouse chips 


Add a large helping of Love of Mother (Love of Father or friend or any ol random’s will work but nothing’s like authentic love from mom!) 


Mix all ingredients as they instruct you but had 1/4 extra flour. This will make for a fluffier cookie. Oh and try to not eat all the dough before cooking! (Nye on impossible) 


Remove cookies from oven 1-2 minutes shy of suggested on the bag. (80 seconds is perfect) This makes for a more tender cookie and great for dipping in a cold glass of milk. 


Let cookies rest on a cooling rack just long enough so chocolate doesn’t melt and burn your mouth.  


This recipe makes for a double batch and just keep them in an old industrial sized Best Foods mayo jar (leftover from an event of course) on the counter for all to enjoy.
